InVision,
a market data distribution System (MDDS), is an information delivery and presentation
system for companies dealing in the financial markets or with streaming data. InVision
comes with a number of application programming interfaces (APIs) which allow clients
to develop their own interfaces to the system, creating applications which consume
data from the system and / or publish data to it.
InVision also offers a range of possibilities for scaling the server structure to
provide on-going reliability by avoiding any single point of failure. All server
components use point-to-point TCP/IP connections, distributing data over switches
and routers in any LAN/WAN environment. The solution is also equipped with a built
in automated recovery system.
The core InVision distribution system (connection to a data source and distribution
to a target user / system) can be extended with the following optional modules:
- Contribution Gateways to transmit information to local in-house intranets and applications
and to data vendors, exchanges and trading systems.
- Integration of other sources via the two InVision APIs for publishing and requesting
data. This allows clients to, for example, integrate in-house data sources. Most
of our products such as I-Trader, I-Pricer and RateStream use InVision to source
for real-time market data.
- Distribution of streaming data to the internet, intranets and extranets via Slingshot.
